Reflection on the current situation

The earth can be considered a large spacecraft but ultimately quite fragile. We should be aware of the extreme emptiness that surrounds this ship. What would we think of the crew members of a spaceship who would start shooting at each other, polluting their spaceship, depleting their resources without regard for replacement capabilities ? Yet that is what we are doing...

Let's try to figure out what is happening.

To do this, we must study the world around us as it is now, but also study the evolution that brought it to the present situation. Today's civilizations are the result of thousands of years of evolution. This allowed the creation of languages, tools, technology. This millennial evolution has also shaped the different civilizations and the psychological structures that drive them. The modern human is not only a being motivated by his direct biological needs, be it those associated with survival or sexuality. Education, closely linked to the different forms of civilization, results in the formation of a being whose motivations for action are at least as much associated with each civilization as with true biological needs (examples, is there a biological need that requires a BMW or a Maserati to meet it ? Let's not talk about anorexics who reduce their response to a basic biological need so much that it leads them to death...).

It is the non-consideration of the psychological structure created by education in the various forms of civilization that is the cause of the failure of Marxist analysis. Understanding the present world requires a study of the present situation, of the past, but also of the psychological structure that results from the evolution of civilizations. The difficulty lies in the possible interference between our own psychological structure and our analysis. We must therefore take care to take into account the facts, try to know the mechanisms of all types that have led to the current situation and above all be able to go against our own anxieties so as not to let them influence our analysis.

Of course, we will soon discover that our capacity for action is very limited. We cannot quickly change the impact of a millennial evolution. So we need to see what are the favorable or unfavorable factors in each form of civilization. Our capacity for action is essentially reduced to the possibility of joining those who are in the most favourable forms of development in the medium and long term. In any case to avoid being on the wrong side of history...

In this context what picture do we discover if we analyze Western society?

In the evolution of this civilization, what strikes most is the high level of aggressiveness, the fact that for at least 500 years the West has been living by directly or indirectly plundering the rest of the planet. Having to consume according to what we actually produce is considered the mark of a dictatorship. Currency was essentially seen in the West as a means to replace direct rule (feudalism) with an indirect one. It is the possession of currency (money) that is the determining element of access to consumption and not production capacity.

If we try to deepen the mechanisms at the base of this form of society, we quickly find that the "satisfaction of feeling" is the main driver of action and not the constraints of the outside world. The Western individual is turned to the inside of himself, he tries to impose what he desires on the outside world. The awareness of the constraints of the outside world, of its complexity, of the extreme dependence on the acquis resulting from thousands of years of evolution as well as the current collective industrial fabric is practically considered as a negative social form, of "collectivism that must be condemned".

A question must come to mind. What is the origin of this priority given to feeling? Is it something that is an integral part of the human condition or is it the result of the economic organization put in place and the form of human relations that result from it (both in the family model and in relations between men and women, parents and children). Psychoanalysis, or even better socio-psychoanalysis, makes it possible to answer this question. This is indeed the consequence of the model of social relations established in this form of civilization! The consequences of this conclusion are important. This means that within this civilization, only a tiny minority of people will give priority to the outside world. Not only will an "objective" analysis of the Marxist type based solely on material criteria lead to erroneous conclusions, but it also means that the capacity of this type of civilization to adapt to significant changes in the outside world is extremely reduced. But the outside world is in the process of totally changing. The main civilizations that have been at the forefront of evolution have integrated the mechanisms implemented by the West, have found their way and are in the process of regaining their place. The domination of the West on the planet is over which ends the possibility for Western countries to consume 5 or 10 times what they produce. This is not yet visible to the vast majority of Western populations because of the delay between changes in the real economy and changes in the financial economy, but nevertheless this considerable fall in living standards is affecting an increasing part of them . The gigantic creation of money by Western banks still allows to maintain the illusion of Western wealth.

Of course, the West will do everything to try to maintain its dominance. This is exactly the same phenomenon that is at work in Ukraine. We see the consequences. Perhaps before we follow the same trajectory we should think. Unfortunately, as written above, hoping for a sufficiently significant change within the Western populations is illusory, especially since the ruling strata do not want it. In this context, what can we do? Understand the current events, the economic and social forces at work, the motivations of the actors concerned, and then choose the best possible or rather the least bad option... To say that we can do nothing to justify continuing to live as if what is happening in the outside world does not concern us is a way to avoid facing our own anxieties to favor the feeling. That won't stop us from going straight into the wall... To give priority to the outside world or the inner world (feeling, theoretical or religious education...) is a choice, but the consequences will be shaped only by the outside world.

Therefore, we will summarize the current global situation

The main mechanism that allows the West to consume much more than it produces is the dollar created at will and supported by petrodollars. Obviously, then it is not difficult to understand the attempts of the United States to control oil resources. Most of the various direct wars or in the form of attempts to destabilize governments are directly related to them. It is to be expected that all possible and imaginable means will be implemented. An example of how far this can go is the creation by Western services of a fanatical movement such as ISIS, the creation of shocking videos by it in order to justify a war against Islamist fanatics. These are actually intended to justify in the eyes of the people the implementation of a war against the countries that oppose the Americans. At the same time as in the media the US government pretends to do everything in the war against ISIS, American planes drop weapons and ammunition to them (supposedly by mistake) repeatedly (documented, among other things, by the Iraqi military and other civilian observers! To this must be added the attempts to stifle the development of China, whose evolution is the most serious threat against US domination. (Iran is considered a longer-term threat). The two main currents that guide American policy come together in the war in Ukraine. It aims to paralyze Russia's action in the Middle East while trying to destabilize this country, the main reservoir of raw materials and energy resources in the world, particularly important for the further development of China. Russian society is divided by very different currents. Some of the leaders want to continue to be purveyors of natural resources in exchange for which they would get a level of consumption similar to the richest people in the West, the development of the country or the majority of the population does not interest them, except in official speeches. Part of the population continues to believe in the Western myth of the consumer society. Another group of leaders has become aware of the true goals of the West and seeks to revive nationalism or consider closer union with China. The pro-westerners are losing more and more ground, power is shifting in favor of the nationalists, however one should not neglect the impact of corruption, including in the ruling spheres. These internal tensions explain the relative weakness of the Russian response to the attacks in Ukraine. This weakness encourages Western leaders to take advantage of it to intensify the unrest and increase the economic war waged against Russia, through sanctions and manipulations in the financial markets. As in 1940, Russia itself is digging the path that will lead it to war.

It is remarkable that Europe works in the direction of American interests, thereby implementing a policy similar to that of wealthy Ukrainians, but on a larger scale. This policy is economic and social suicide and will also have consequences similar to those we see today in Ukraine.
