Energy production for small installations

Production of hot water, electricity, steam, cold water for small, stand alone installations without connections to a distribution networks.

Optimization of an existing installation

Existing installation optimization can be achieved by :

-   study and improvement of regulation

-   improvement of the equipments (optimum insulating calculation, energy storage, heat recovery, co-generation, tri-generation...)

-   setting up a systematic supervision of critical parts (preventive maintenance)

A study of the installation based on all available informations is a preliminary step before any meeting on site.

Modification/design of installation

First step is needs definition

What kind of energy and what Is this energy going to be used for ? Is it possible to evaluate a consumption curve ? Are alternatives solutions available?

When the needs are defined, you must the chose the energy production technology that is best suited to the available resources. In general, viability of this kind of project depends on distance between the fuel source and the production/consumption. Another key factor can be the energy storage needs.

Those technologies must be studied to find an optimum solution :

  • For electricity : solar panels, wind turbine, micro turbine

  • For heat : solar panels, pellets water heater, biogas water heater, heat pump, absorption group

The next step is installation design with the constraints defined during the preliminary study. This part of the work can be limited to basic calculations or include a price study of available components and providers in the project area.
In case of existing installation modification, another key factor is the need to take into account the existing installation.
